Back to Bitkiwi - New Zealand's Premier Bitcoin Event

Bitkiwi XI - October, 2024, Wellington

Bitkiwi XI will take place at the Fork and Brewer in Wellington, on October 26th, starting at 1pm.

Our eleventh event will be themed around learning and discussion.

This is the perfect event if you are new to bitcoin, curious, or just want to meet up with other bitcoiners in real life!

We’ll have the usual awesome casual and friendly bitcoin environment you’ve come to expect, but we’ll also have several areas with bitcoin information and items, and bitcoiners on hand to answer any questions and discuss all things bitcoin.

Paul from Bitkiwi will  answer questions about bitcoin fundamentals and economics.

What is bitcoin? What is money? Why is bitcoin important? What differentiates bitcoin from  “cryptocurrencies?”

Dan from Bitkiwi will answer questions on the mining process, how it works, and the different methods and products available.

Well-known New Zealand bitcoiner Kiwilamb will answer questions on acquiring, storing and using bitcoin, as well as the intricacies of bitcoin nodes and the lightning network.

As always, Bitkiwi events are free and open to all!

You will be able to purchase drinks and bitcoin items at the event using the lightning network, have a go and see how easy it is.

We can’t wait to see you, newbies and experienced bitcoiners alike!

If you have any enquiries about the event, please contact us on enquiry@bitkiwi.co.nz, or DM us on twitter/x at @bitkiwi1.
